Welcome to our Bud Grafting Workshop, presented by the Rochester Folk Art Guild in partnership with the Cornell Cooperative Extension!

Grafting is a time-honored technique that allows you to enhance the variety and yield of your established apple trees without needing additional space. As heirloom varieties disappear from the market, food security becomes a pressing issue. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn how to preserve diversity in your garden!

Join David Barnet from the Rochester Folk Art Guild for an interactive session where you’ll explore the art and science of bud grafting. You'll have plenty of time for hands-on practice, ensuring you leave with newfound skills and confidence.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Learn the essential techniques of bud grafting.

  • Discover how to maintain apple trees and effectively manage your orchard.

  • Scion wood will be available for purchase, allowing you to try grafting on your own trees at home!

Important Notes:

  • Advanced registration is required to secure your spot.

  • This is a pay-what-you-wish event, making it accessible to all.
