A Free Outdoor Performance for All Ages

Join us at the Rochester Folk Art Guild for a lively, family-friendly performance of Shakespeare’s The Tempest by Shake on the Lake! This fast-paced, interactive production brings the classic story to life with puppetry, live music, and plenty of surprises.

On a mysterious island filled with magical beings and shipwrecked travelers, the exiled sorcerer Prospero conjures a mighty storm to bring his enemies to shore. Will he seek revenge or choose forgiveness?

This performance is part of our Lecture on the Lawn series and is made possible by the Rochester Area Community Foundation and the Yates County Tourism Advisory Committee.

This free outdoor performance will take place rain or shine (will be moved indoors in case of rain). Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating. Donations are appreciated to help support future events.
